Guidelines and Terms of Use

Live United TC highlights the greatest needs in our community through events and promotions, and offers you the opportunity to give, advocate and volunteer. Each promotion will focus on one of our ten Agenda for Lasting Change goals.  

 We welcome your comments; your ideas and concerns are important to ensure that a broad range of people in our region  are active and informed participants in the discussion.

To maintain a respectful dialogue, we’ve posted the guidelines of our comment policy below.

Be respectful. United Way does not permit the use of foul language, personal attacks, aggressive behavior or terms that target specific ethnic or racial groups. Instigating arguments in a disrespectful way is also prohibited.

Tell the truth. Spreading unsupported accusations or false information is prohibited.

No spam or product endorsements. We will not post comments that are spam, are clearly off topic or that promote services or products.

Comments on Live United TC are moderated. This means:

  1. Comments are reviewed before they are posted to ensure comments meet the above standards.
  2. We will review, post and respond to comments in a timely manner. We welcome constructive criticism. We may not be able to respond to every comment, but we will read all of them.
  3. If you have a donor- or donation-related question, please contact our donor services area. Using these support personnel will allow you to get your issues to experienced United Way support representatives in a timely manner.

By screening submissions, we aim to create a place where readers can exchange civil, high-quality, thought-provoking discussion.  In order to achieve this, United Way requires you to register and post your comment with your actual name and place of residence.
